FM200 & INERGEN Gas Suppression Systems

In environments where water-based fire suppression would cause more damage than the fire itself — such as data centers, server rooms, electrical rooms, telecom hubs, hospitals, museums, archives, and sensitive industrial equipment — clean agent gas suppression systems are the answer.

FM200 (HFC-227ea) Fire Suppression

How It Works: FM200 is a colorless, odorless gas stored as a liquefied compressed agent. When a fire is detected, the system discharges FM200 within 10 seconds or less. The agent vaporizes rapidly and extinguishes fire primarily through heat absorption — cooling the fire below the temperature needed to sustain combustion.

Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression Systems

Protecting Hotels, Restaurants & Commercial Kitchens from Cooking Fires.

Commercial kitchens are among the highest fire-risk environments in any building. Grease, cooking oil, high-temperature appliances, and exhaust hoods create conditions where fires can ignite and spread within seconds. A single kitchen fire can destroy an entire restaurant, shut down a hotel, and put lives at serious risk.

Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression Systems are mandatory for all commercial kitchens with three or more burners under the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and NFPA 96 standards. Space Group designs, supplies, installs, and maintains these systems for hotels, restaurants, cafés, food courts, cloud kitchens, catering operations, and institutional kitchens across Dubai and the UAE.

How Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression Works:

Kitchen hood fire suppression systems are pre-engineered, wet chemical, stored-pressure systems installed directly into the cooking exhaust hood. They operate in two modes:

Automatic Activation:

• Heat-sensitive fusible links or thermal detectors continuously monitor the cooking area
• When a fire or abnormal temperature is detected, the system instantly discharges wet chemical suppressant through strategically positioned nozzles
• The wet chemical agent smothers the flames, cools the fire, and creates a soapy film on cooking surfaces that prevents re-ignition

Manual Activation:

• A manual pull station (installed at a height of 1067–1200mm for easy access) allows kitchen staff to trigger the system immediately in an emergency

Automatic Fuel & Power Shutoff:

• Upon activation, the system automatically cuts off gas and electrical power to all connected cooking appliances — stopping fuel to the fire and preventing reignition
